Every day, millions of people contribute to the beverage alcohol industry through purchasing wine and spirits, creating annual revenue of $189 billion in sales of alcoholic beverages. Interestingly, many intellectual property issues arise regarding the regulatory of this industry, including the importation, distribution, and marketing of alcohol products.
On April 8th, the Intellectual Property Law Society invites you to come learn about the complex regulatory structure that governs the beverage alcohol industry. With a dynamic panel composed of industry insiders and practicing lawyers, students will get an exciting peek into this niche area of the law. Our panelists will be discussing the basics behind the importation and distribution process, along with the governing legal framework. They will also be touching on how intellectual property plays a role in the creation and marketing of alcohol brands, and will offer advice on how to break into this fascinating area of the law.
